The artist, Loyal H. “Bud” Chapman, is a native of Minnesota, was born 1923, and is also a storied golf champion, inducted into the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame and also acquainted with several iconic golfing legends.
The first effort rendering whimsical interpretation of demanding golf courses was entitled:
Victoria Falls Golf Club.
